At this point in time, I hear my mom frequently say, "modernized na talaga ngayon". This is because back in the 1980s the options for Filipinos for cookware, houseware, and kitchenware products are limited. Global brands are available for sure but majority couldn’t afford it due to its price range. However, our Moms that time do not have a choice but buy it especially if what they are after is quality. Am i right? Those whose budget are limited are just left with the option to just deal with the lower-quality locally-made recycled scrap material cookware that posed a health risk. And because of these unfortunate choices in the market, there was a need for a range of affordable products that still had a standard of quality that would meet the needs of the Filipino homemaker during those times. MASFLEX is very proud to have their latest brand endorser, MS NANCY REYES-LUMEN, as their first ambassadress for the brand as part of their 25th year anniversary celebration. Ms. Nancy Reyes-Lumen, the self proclaimed "Adobo Queen" certified cook and a foodie which also comes from the prominent Reyes clan of the Aristocrat Restaurant who is the most renowned family when it comes to Filipino food in this country.
In the search for an endorser for MASFLEX, they wanted someone who has had many years of experience in the culinary industry, has genuine passion in food and cooking, and one who can easily relate with the wide demographic base of consumers. They found this all squarely in the Adobo Queen who has also been an endorser for other food and appliance related brands. According to MASFLEX executives, what sweetened it further was the fact that she was already a loyal user of Masflex cookware and kitchenware products so she already knew the products very well.

ReplyDeleteI've been cooking peppers and onions in the skillet on the grill a lot lately. I'll have to add jalapenos next time. Yum. I like cooking bacon that way too, although hot fat + open flame adds a nice element of danger. I used to get flank steak, but my husband got me to try the carne asada cut from our local market, and I prefer it. Not sure if it's thin-cut flank or skirt (I'll have to ask), but it looks like this
