MY BEAUTY HAUL AT BeautyMNL + SHOPPING EXPERIENCE

Hello y'all! How's your long weekend going? With all the posts that I have been seeing in my feed, I'm pretty sure, all of us are having a good time. As for me, we started our holiday last monday night— yes, 1 whole week holiday for us kaya sinasagad ko na, minsan lang sa isang taon ang summer guys, let's make the most out of it!

Anyways, prior to leaving home, I was surprised that the package that I ordered from BeautyMNL got delivered. Despite BeautyMNL 's guarantee of next day delivery within Metro Manila addresses, I didn't actually expect that mine will be delivered the next day kasi I placed my order on April 24 which is a Monday and was able to finalise it medyo late na that day kaya nga I placed a special delivery instructions pa for my package since we are leaving for a holiday. I was really happy that I got it before our flight kayo ito, I brought it with me and I am excited to share with you my BeautyMNL haul.

It was a rainy Easter Sunday last week. We were able to check-in early from our Marriott Manila Staycation so as soon as we finished checking-in, Tammy and I drove our way to Alabang Town Center for Vanilla Cafe's Cupcake Decorating Easter Activity. It was just an easy and short drive as it was just one "skyway" away! (wink!wink!) —

We were excited for our Easter this year 'cause we know prior that we will have a more egg-citing activity than our previous years. The rain didn't dampen our high spirits that time as Tammy and I imagined and talk about different cupcake decorations during our ride.

When I was young, when I was asked on what I would like to be when I grow up— my answer was always "To be a Flight Attendant". Oo, since Kinder, it was my consistent answer.

Here's a little trivia about me trying out as FA ::: During my last year in college, I did try to go to the screening of Cabin Crew for Saudia Airlines. Guess what, I passed! —Yes, you heard me right. Pumasa ako, underwent medical and all and was ready to fly to the Middle East to take the 6 months training! Yun nga lang, I just wasn't able to pursue it because I haven't graduated at that time. It was a very long story. It was also one of the hardest decisions that I ever made in my life because the dean from my university asked me to choose over being an undergrad—Flight Attendant or graduate with flying colors and receive my Diploma. To cut the story short, I did what I was suppose to do. I chose to finish college first and turned down the offer from Saudia. 

Sayang — I know!

I never tried to go to any FA screenings after college since life already took me in different direction. I worked with the most reputable Hotels and Resorts in the country, got married, had a family and was able to put up a business with the support of my dear husband. But you know what, up until now, I still wonder what it would have been like if I pursued on being a flight attendant.

Earlier today I have heard Tammy said "I am bored Mommy. I miss doing activities with my classmates in school. I say wutt??? It was only a week when she had her last day in school and she is already bored. Oh em geeee! 

We mummie's should keep our kids busy with lots of activities this summer! So tara lets, let us bring them to activities that would enhance their creativity.

A MUST TRY! GoodAh!!! 's SINIGANG SA MISO BONELESS BANGUS

Whenever I see Sinigang na bangus, I always remember my "late" yaya also known as our house helper who always cooks her Sinigang na Bangus for us sooooo perfectly! I used to be a "picky" eater that I tend really choose what I eat and who cooks it. Perhaps that's the reason why she has perfected her cooking skills. (wink, wink)

At the time I am writing this post, I am still on my "no rice" on meals which I started last Ash Wednesday and would end on Easter. I cannot "abstain" from eating pork & beef nor practice "fasting" so I just chose to substitute it with the "no rice" on my meals during this Lenten Season.

What about you? Have you done any fasting or abstinence during this lenten season? I'm sure you do 'cause most of the practicing catholic I know are doing something like this during lent. If you are like me who cannot practice full time fasting, one way to do it is to cut out eating pork or any meat and substitute it by eating just vegetables or fish.
