We cannot deny it anymore ~ our life revolves with this technology called the internet,I don't know about you but if you'll ask me — in our current modern lifestyle, living a life without the internet is like having a lifeless freaked out life.
We manage most of our daily task using the internet. I'd be such a hypocrite if I would tell you that I am not affected by all those likes and comments, because honestly, those likes and comments boost one's self-ego. But what if for some unforeseen circumstances, eh you suddenly can’t use any form of technology? What will you do?? Will you be doomed to be alone forever?
I am asking you this because last thursday, a blogcon of the "Ang Babaeng Allergic sa Wifi was held and I tell you, there's an overwhelming surge of emotions which makes you want to watch it over and over again! After the movie, you too would be able to realize what is life in the absence of wifi and gadgets as it affects our individuality and our personal relationships.
Norma is an ordinary teenage girl, and like most girls her life (and love life) revolves around technology. One day she is diagnosed with Electromagnetic Hyper-Sensitivity — an unusual illness that makes her literally allergic to Wi-Fi, data signals, etc. So she is forced to move in with her grandmother in the province and learns to live a much simpler life that will impact her relationship with Leo — and her friendship with Leo’s brother, Aries.
Distance didn't become a hindrance and Leo's brother, Aries, goes out of his way as he made sure to always visit Norma to fill in for his brother. The sudden change in her life made her reevaluate her relationships and identify her one true love.
The movie also stars Yayo Aguila, Candy Pangilinan, Boots Anson Roa, and many more.
“Ang Babaeng Allergic sa WiFi” is Cignal Entertainment’s first venture into full-length feature film production and is one of the eight feature films chosen by the Film Development Council of the Philippines for the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino 2018 happening on August 15, in celebration of Buwan ng Wika.
In partnership with THE IDEAFIRST COMPANY and OCTOBERTRAIN FILMS, this Cignal Entertainment’s rom-com film presents a fresh look at love in the digital age. It’s written and directed by Jun Robles Lana (and with Perci Intalan), starring promising young actors Sue Ramirez, Jameson Blake and Markus Paterson.
“Ang Babaeng Allergic sa WiFi” is one of the most awaited entries in the festival after its trailer went viral over the Internet. The film’s take on millennials’ digital life, unique storyline, its lesson about love, and the unexpected plot twist make it worth watching.
