MERMAID ISLAND PH : CRUELTY -FREE COSMETICS REVIEW

In a Thanksgiving Bloggers party which I attended 2 months ago, I got these all-natural, vegan, and cruelty-free line of cosmetics — Mermaid Island. Couldn't help but gush over it coz~  we are matchy-matchy!  Mermaid in Stilettos + Mermaid Island = bagay diba, haha.

THE BRAND 

Mermaid Island is a local brand inspired by the carefree yet fancy, undiscovered yet mermazing world of mermaids.  

THE PROMISE

They only used certified organic and raw ingredients to ensure that women can enjoy good quality cosmetics that are safe even for teens, pregnant and lactating women! Isn't it amazing! I really love supporting company startups especially local products that are natural and vegan! 

THE REVIEW:

As soon as it landed on my hands, I got impressed with the packaging. It is very cute and dainty + super girly.  

I can't help but notice how each product name is carefully thought of, as well as its variants.  if you will look closely, the Beach Perfect (Lip and Lid Cheek Clay Stain) is inspired by the musical “Pitch Perfect”. Oh, and all of its shades are named after songs too, like : Tropic Like It’s Hot (reminiscent of Drop it Like It’s Hot by Snoop Dogg ), and Reef I Were A Boy (If I Were a Boy by Beyonce Knowles).

They have also recently launched a few skin care products for men, including shampoo bars, dry shampoo, and hand sanitizers.

Jelly Much lip and cheek gel tint

These lip tints contain guava leaf gel, rose water and aloe vera extract that helps in moisturizing dry chapped lips. I love how it smoothly glides on my lips and smells gooood too! 

These can also be applied on cheeks! 

It's very handy because it can easily be placed in our bags or just slipped it in your pocket! 

Beach Perfect lip, lid and cheek clay stain

I love how it was made creamy enough that it is very easy to blend. With its creamy formulation, it is so easy to control each application which gives a very nice and natural everyday look. This one also smells great! Oh did I say, this one is a super saver because you already have a lip, lid, and cheek in one tub!

Deep Secret Shampoo Bar for dry and damaged hair

I swear by this Mermaid Island Deep Secret shampoo bar! 

I swear, it's very easy to lather and it really smells so gooood! Environmental-wise, I highly suggest and recommend this one because aside from helping to reduce plastic waste from the usual shampoo containers ~ this one really works so effectively. 

THE VERDICT

Each Mermaid Island product is prudently handcrafted with love and mermaid magic –And I personally recommend it because everything is made from natural ingredients which are safe to use by everyone.
