Tanduay Distillers, Inc. is strongly advising the public not to mix its rum products with bleaching products, hand sanitizers, and other chemicals to produce disinfectants against COVID-19.
“It has been brought to our attention that videos are circulating online showing Tanduay Rhum being mixed with other products to create disinfectants. We ask the public to not even attempt to do this as it can cause serious damage to their health,” Tanduay Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing Paul Lim said.
He likewise implored the public to refrain from sharing these videos.
He also added: “During this time of crisis, let us be more careful about the information we share online as this might lead to more serious health concerns. Please exercise better judgment and only share information from reliable sources.”
