A little creativity goes a long way on this app, where everyone has the potential to go viral.
Learning how to edit your TikTok videos to make them more eye-catching and creative can help you produce content that followers will really enjoy watching. It may seem complicated, but video editing on TikTok is actually simple and easy. It can be a lot of fun, too, especially with all the music clips, effects, and stickers available for you to use.
In just 6 steps, you can start editing videos like a pro on TikTok. This super simple guide teaches you how.
STEP 1: Select videos
After you've recorded videos on your phone, upload them into your TikTok account so you can start editing. Open the app, tap the + button, then choose Upload to open up your phone gallery. Select all the videos you want to include, then tap next.
STEP 2: Trim and reorder
Trim video clips to your desired length by selecting Adjust clip, then tap Clip to edit. This allows you to remove portions from the beginning or the end of the video. To reorder your video clips, long press and drag to move them around. Videos clips should be a maximum of 60 seconds, and at least 1 second long.
STEP 3: Add music
Use TikTok's awesome music library to make your videos stand out even more. Tap Sounds on the lower left of your screen to open up the music library, where you can easily browse and search for the best background sounds for your content.
STEP 4: Embellish your videos
Along with music, you can use the different filters, effects, and stickers on TikTok to make your videos more interesting and fun. Tap the Effects and Stickers buttons at the bottom of the screen to see all of your options.
STEP 5: Include text
Say more by adding text to your video content. To do this, tap the Aa button at the bottom of the screen, type in your text, then press done. Tap on the text box again to make changes, and to set the duration of time that your text remains onscreen.
STEP 6: Publish
Once you are satisfied with your video, add a caption or description plus relevant hashtags, then press Post. All done!
